The Best Poem Of David Obi

I Did It.. I Finally Did It.

I awoke in darkness....... 'Where am i? ' i pondered, i see nothing but darkness... it surrounds me, it's in me. I knew it... I had done it... I finally did it... I AM DEAD.
All that comes to mind is the peace i felt entitled to. Where is it? I need it... I need to have it.. I need to be contended and fulfilled finally. But.... there was nothing... Nothing but darkness.
Suddenly i saw light; glowing and beaming through a door not so far away... I felt a ray of peace within the light..
I started walking... walking towards it..... That was when i realized it! .. I wasn't alone.
Peace was so close but yet so far away... As i walked towards the light, the others pulled me back... And i felt the light move further away from me, disappearing before my eyes........ I started screaming..
I screamed and yelled... But! ... But all to no avail...
I couldn't even hear my own voice or tell what i am....

But i knew if i could, i would do it again... I would do it a million times... Just to be in that light.
