Being A Mother

This one's for you my darling daughter
I am blessed for life to be your mother
The day I got to know of you
I wondered who you were, I had no clue
Caring for you was all that I could do
To protect and nurture you as you grew

The time ever since you resided in me
For me it has been a remarkable journey
Every day I lived had an influence on you
Some moments were high, at times I was blue
It was a long phase, my patience was test
I tried my best, eat well and take rest

Moments of milestones was each passing day
Slow and steady, you were making your way
Month after month as kept on growing
I felt eternal bliss, overwhelmed and was glowing
After all that wait, guessing and hoping
The day had arrived without us knowing

It was finally the time for you to show
I was going through pain and felt very low
I went speechless the time I heard your first cry
I was excited to see my bundle of joy
A child was born and so was a mother
You became my world my darling daughter! !
