Biography of Danielle Kieschnick
Hello. I'm Danielle. For as long as I can remember, I've loved to write. Poetry is one of the most powerful forms of expression, and throughout the years it has become more and more important to me. I love to read the words of others for inspiration, and I hope that one day, someone will read my words and be inspired by what I have to say as well.
Danielle Kieschnick Poems
The Hollow Kingdom
Before my eyes, there once appeared A fallen temple in the sky And within this temple lay the once-revered; The godly and the sanctified.
I am the smoke That drifts out from between your lips After a nice, long drag From a cigarette.
She stumbles out of the crowded bar And into the crisp night air. Drowning her sorrows? No. She cannot drown them, only dull their screams
She stumbles out of the crowded bar
And into the crisp night air.
Drowning her sorrows? No.
She cannot drown them, only dull their screams
Into haunting whispers for a while.
But she knows, even as the blood runs slow and thick,
Even as her body is filled with warm, numbing poison,
That the heat and quiet will die away
Before she reaches home.
