I Can Only Be Me, Love Me Or Leave Me Alone

I can only be ME- Love ME or Leave ME Alone,

Sorry if your initial impression was incorrect & all your respect is gone.

I am a real woman with real feelings and reactions,

So if you were only interested because of a physical attraction

Then you didn't want to know the real me at all.

So forget all the deceitful text messages and please don't even call!

When I allow you in, I give you 100% of me,

Sorry, if you don't like all that you hear or see!

When I open up my heart to you, I love and love hard,

Yes, it is your right not to feel the same and take my love and just discard.

But don't try to take my openness about my past and use against me,

For my life is an unfinished novel and that is just one entry.

I will not hide my past mistakes or deny that there are more errors yet to be done,

But those are things that you learn to accept when you truly love someone.

Call me crazy if you like- I call it a 'Beautiful Mind',

You say I talk some 'crazy mess'- I say my thoughts are 'One of a Kind'.

As this yet Untitled chapter of my life comes to a close,

I still do not regret allowing you in-nor the route that I chose.

For on my judgement day, it is only I that can atone,

Many words again just to say I can only be ME, Love ME or Leave ME alone
