Hanging on a cross, nails hammered in wrists and feet
Jesus Christ Son of God is being crucified
Crowned with thorns, body flogged, bruised, bleeding
Raised high between two thieves, one good one bad.

God gave His cherished son, the Lord Jesus Christ
Sacred spirit who suffered for Mankind's salvation
As the sacrificial lamb dying to save the faithful
From the temptations and bribes from the Devil.

Time long ago
All seemed magical and pure
Joyful and abundant
Days of fun and laughter

What greater marvel
Than trees
Leaves whispering in the breeze
Shade against the sun

Despicable war is man's insanity
Indiscriminately killing
Plundering, harvesting lives.

How good to hear your voice, precious loving tones
That quake the heart and race the blood
Inspiring thoughts to new majestic lofty heights.
Delighting my Muse rejoicing in your presence

Time passing
Has not broken nor dulled
Life's flow and perception.
