The Best Poem Of Chukwuebuka Onah

Night

I heard the voice of darkness,
and it lured my spine.
The humming wind sang of the nightly lyrics,
like the lullaby of stillborn.
Rustling breezes of Helianthus,
through windows and the eyes of darkness,
call on me,
to travel the road of the living,
and the paths of the the spirit.
The grey sky sang
of the Heavens,
and the half-baked moon,
recalled of fairy tales.
Oh! night, night,
spare me your children,
gentlemen of honour,
and the dark walks of darkness, of moribound,
and I shall drink of this garden,
to save me from nightless night.
