Does Working Hard Ever Pay Off?

A student goes to a competitive school
He is average
He has a basic learning knowledge
On Day One, he is committed to working hard
He studies through the mysterious night
He participates in class
He asks question when his mind boggles
He is enthusiastic about school
He is always curious about different subjects

He is constantly bullied
He has no friends
He WORKS HARD but he is constantly getting mediocre grades
He was studying for a Science Test
During the day, he reviewed
During the night, he did a practice test
He took a test
He felt confident
He received his test back
Red everywhere
On the corners
On the center
On the sides
Everywhere

By the end of the year, he worked hard and ended up with a horrible grade-point average
He questioned if hard work pays off
He questioned this everyday
until this day

There was another science test
He did the usual.
Studied Studied Studied
Participated Participated Participated

There was another student
He is lazy
He sleeps during class
He doesn't participate
He doesn't ask questions
He fools around and plays around

He has a lot a friends
He is praised everyday
During the day, he sleeps and plays around
During the night, he plays games
He did not studying one single bit of science

They both took the test

But at the end of the day, persistent person ends up with a C while the lazy person ends up with an A

The question he has been finding the answer to was finally answered.

Scholars and people say that Hard Work pays off
Even Steve Jobs emphasized hard work
Today, those scholar and people were wrong.

Will hard work ever pay off?
