God's Sending

He sang her a song,
the lyrics with no meaning,
as she rest her head down.

Her eyes fluttered shut,
but the song still play on,
the family filling the room.

'oh no' 'oh no',
they cried and whined,
their little girl was gone.

Peaceful mourning,
Heartfelt cries,
They hoped she'd open her hazel eyes.

But no hope rang true,
no eyes became shed,
as she lay there in the soft satin of her hospital bed.

God held her hand,
and whispered to her softly,
'they'll be okay, let's go see nana'

Heaven is not always glittering gold,
it can be harsh, cruel and cold,
but he took her somewhere peaceful.

He thought that'd pay the price,
of what cancer had done,
and for the little girl who couldn't run.
