I'm an English Major at the University of Louisiana. I have a short story that I wrote published in the latest edition of UL's Southwestern Review. I love to read and ride horses. It's Never Easy

Tears flowing from his eyes,
I began to see the sadness,
As I watched the strongest man I know,
Break down and cry.
It's so hard to say goodbye.

He taught me about family.
He taught me about love.
But most importantly, he taught me how to survive.

I couldn't picture life any other way,
Than with this man right by my side.

A shoulder to cry on,
A hand to hold,
The most support a girl could ever know.
These are the three things that I constantly received.
Oh, how much love I have seen.

How lucky could I be,
To know he loves ...
