Cassandra Kinman Poems

I don't have many friends.
I listen to country music.
I like to read a lot.
And if it were possible

I thought you were my friend.
Maybe I was only a game,
For you to play.

I have two best friends.
When I am happy,
One smiles wide and gives a high five;
The other wags its tail and shakes his furry head.

Loneliness and Laughter,
Great rivals are they.
Loneliness is saddness.
Loneliness is crushing.

I write to free my soul.
I write to clear my mind.
I write to say, 'I love you.'
I write to say, 'Goodbye.'

Shall I walk down cement streets,
Knowing one day they'll be paved with gold?
Shall I look at loved ones,
Knowing one day I'll see the ones passed on?

He's waiting for me
To make my move.
It turns out I'm waiting, too.
He's afraid of what I might say.

I close my eyes in pain.

'I will write what I never could say'
I don't know who wrote it,

Cassandra Kinman Biography

My name is Cassandra Kinman. I was born in Louisville, Kentucky in April of 1996, even though I've never actually lived there. I currently live in Tenessee, although I've lived in Indiana, Illinois, and Alabama. In all these places I've lived I have had few friends and kept in touch with fewer. So I have about three REALLY close friends. I've always made little poems in my head, but usually I forgot them before I was able to write them down. Since finding this site though I've made a conscious effort to write down my little poems quickly. Subsequently, the poems you are welcome to or are reading. Feel free to leave comments or criticism.)

The Best Poem Of Cassandra Kinman

Friend

I don't have many friends.
I listen to country music.
I like to read a lot.
And if it were possible
I'd probably talk off your ear.

But if you get to know me,
I don't talk quite so much.
If you tell me a secret,
I'll be lying in my grave
Before I tell a soul.
We'd do some crazy stuff.
Maybe we'd stay at home,
And talk about some stuff.
Maybe we'd stay up all night,
And have a movie marathon,
And laugh until we cried.

If you simply got to know me,
I'd be a loyal friend.
And then when we are old and gray,
Or maybe when we're just plain old
You'd remind me of the day
You thought your ear'd fall off.
Then I'd remind you of the day
You became my friend.
