Oh Dear Tortured Soul Thou Art

Oh dear tortured soul thou art
My heart bleeds for thee
The aching cries of your sweet heart
Are bared for all to see

'Tis torturous
to mourn a love
once known but too far lost
And bleed forever, with your life
and heart to be the cost

But go now, dear sweetest one
be released from your tortured pain
For you deserve to love and know its' sweetness once again

Please wake up
and claim your heart
and soul and youth once more
And live a life of love and happiness
Your hopes and dreams restore

For you'd see how greatly
you have allowed
This loss to take your life
If when the end of your time nears
You will realize
The sound of your own heart...
screaming...
do you hear?

Oh what greater loss I gave myself than she ever could
When I let my life slip away
in darkness
as I never knew I would

So please take this chance to let go and let God restore your heart and soul
With hope and a second chance at life to breathe in and behold
