Branton Wilcox Poems

I'm only a third wheel,
Pushed to the back just like a rotten meal.
No one seems to notice the real pain,
But inside you feel like you're going insane.
...

My life seems to be all lies,
It is hidden by the truth from within.
The only thing that seems to matter is my guise,
All other things are thrown in an old bin.
...

I once had a dream where I was standing with you,
But now I'm doubting that dream came true.
Once I saw you, I thought it was okay,
But I never knew what you was preparing to say.
...

My heart has frozen to the core,
I can't even find the right thing to say.
Why has time been so miserable,
and why have I gone so insane?
...

If I could put all of my thoughts onto a canvas,
I would be an artist.
If I could say every good thing about you,
I would have a short story.
...

I lie awake at night dreaming,
Of the one and only I can remember.
Feeling her warm hand locked with mine,
I can almost remember.

The Third Wheel

I'm only a third wheel,
Pushed to the back just like a rotten meal.
No one seems to notice the real pain,
But inside you feel like you're going insane.

They only need you to carry weight,
And they treat you like their fish bait.
And as you feel your self falling,
They push you to keep crawling.

As you start to give away,
You feel a little part of you decay.
This life is beginning to feel unreal,
As if you're only the third wheel.
