NOTE; ; so there is a huge story that captivates behind every line of this poem, but i decided not to bother everyone with it. but this guy happened to me really close with my best friend - i was having a rough night and he stayed up all night while i hid from anything in the shadows that taunted my weak heart that night in a corner. my cell phone on one hand, my other hand holding me together, and none but him stayed up all night just to talk to me on the other line. i wrote this that night and its dedicated to him. i see him like an older brother -

this poem was originally for a poem project, but its one of my shortest free verse poems and i absolutely fell in love with it. as a note, i cant relate that i experience pain as this poem may illustrate at the moment, but i have in past years - yet there is no connection overall.
