Have you ever asked, 'why? ';
As a bird passed you by?
Will you fly, like a bird, when you die?

My grandson, I have yet to meet
That matters not to me.

For, even though I've seen you not
...

In the blink of an eye; you appear... I look back;
In the blink of an eye, you are gone.

Like a piece in your game, you so carelessly play;
...

I've paid a price, more times than not
Through life, my cost was high

From bottoms up, then down I fought
...

When I die, will I fly?
Like a bluebird would fly?
Way up high
Up above in the sky?

'Oh, woe is me', she cries again.
Not caring of the carnage left behind.
The utter destruction she so kindly bequeathed her loved ones.

Lil' Ol' Bug

Have you ever asked, 'why? ';
As a bird passed you by?
Will you fly, like a bird, when you die?

As you walk through the trees;
Is there something you see?
Are those wings, of a bee that you spy?

Then, I spy on a bug.
Just a little lil' oil' 'bug;
I think twice, as I lift up my shoe.

Then I set it back down;
Ask myself, 'could it be? '
Could the bug, on the ground, have been you?

When this life ends for me;
Wonder where I will be?
Wonder what, in this world, I will do?

So, the next time you see;
Some ol' bug on the ground;
Wonder what, you will do with YOUR shoe?

We don't know where we'll be;
What we'll do; Where we'll go
We don't know, what it is we may see.

But, I wonder myself;
At 'ill' ol' bug'

At the end of this life,
Will that bug on the ground then be ME? the end of this life,
Will that bug on the ground then be ME?
