Immersion

Letting go
Of loved one
entered
next phase

kith and kin
are part of blood
and skin
and leave telltale
scars in passing

I washed away
Bitterness
immersing
Ashes mixed
With old tie’s gore
gently released

rose petals instead
Adding new dimension
of forgiveness
and sifted love
for person
who has gone
only choice left

is to let
bygone
be bygone
without
any
recriminations
exhumations
resurrections
