You look at me with those lost, scared eyes of pain,
And you ask, how could this happen?
At a loss for expression,
I can only answer you, how could it be otherwise?
How long must I endure your punishment?
How long must you forbid me respect and gratitude,
For my love, devotion and protection,
While I guarded you with my very life and breath.
How deep is an ocean?
How long does a river wind until it winds no more.
For everything there is a season.
Time is drawing nigh,
Twilight no longer twinkles with stars and moon,
The music died long ago.
Ample was your time to stretch out your hand.
But your pride and ego have become your Master
For you no longer even have freedom to move,
From the pit you built your anger,
Unfurled upon my crown.
Pleases with your results you carry on,
Heartless, with fangs of ice you snarl at the wind.
Happiness to you and yours,
Cheers and rah rah rah,
Broken arrows in my quiver.
God does give second chances,
Prayers can be answered.
Your loss is no my gain.
However, it is the gain of another now.
Refreshing cometh in the morning.
God turns my ahses into beauty.
For His purpose and glory.
