Oh the Joy of saving one's life,
The triumph, the amazing feeling of victory,
Of snatching one's soul from Hades' fist.
But beware! The tragedy! For a simple mistake,
Can cost one's life.

Many a day goes by that I dream,
Dream of snatching a drowning man out of water,
Or hauling a wounded man off the battlefield,
Or carrying a sobbing mother's child out of a building aflame,
But in a close second, The look she gives in return.
Gratitude, Respect, Remembrance, and Love.

The sight of tears of sadness being wiped away,
And tears of Joy to replace,
Is a spot in my heart that can not be filled by anything,
Except the wonderful Love of Jesus Christ,
For He saved you and I, from satin's grasp.

So I write these words, and hope that one day,
That I can do these things to show my:
Gratitude, Respect, Remembrance, and most of all, Love,
Towards my Savior.
