We're again on the detested desert
that looks afar like a tiding ocean
where water waves its body on the banks
as she celebrates in glee of nature's grace.

Ambiguous is life, I see
As a kid, I had pondered so much on the sea
Sometimes, peace without a tide
Rage comes and troubles the banks at other time.

I left her a couple of moons ago
Unsatisfied for she refused early of my ring
I crossed over the sea, to explore a new world
Still, mind aglued with what she never gave

When We See Desert And Wail

We're again on the detested desert
that looks afar like a tiding ocean
where water waves its body on the banks
as she celebrates in glee of nature's grace.

We're again on the detested desert
that separates us from the lonely sea
where filth water flows to quench the thirst
and our public can cannot give a yam.

We're again on the detested desert
where man beats sands to grow a crop
when thousands starved even with the hoes
and masses wail for living hope.

We're again on the detested desert
where cradles curse waterless breasts
as mother looks up the starless skies
and tears rush down her gazing eyes.

We're again on the detested desert
where man and goats eat in the same pots
bones withdrawn from the hungry dogs
for our gentle kings who feed on the flesh.
