Ashley McBean Poems

My heart has been ripped bare
I've nothing left to give
My love was neverending
But I guess you didn't care
...

How can this be?
Last night I was in a cozy bed,
my family was right upstairs.
I was safe and secure in my haven,
...

Memories are made of this
Some roses and a gentle kiss
Let me whisper in your ear
I love you more than ever dear
...

I do not ask that mine shall be a life of constant ease
But only that it may contain an element of peace
I've never asked for jewels so rare
But just the will to do and dare
...

A dark shadow all around me
I am frightened and alone
A sharp pain pierces through my heart
I cry out but no one hears me
...

Every second, ever hour, everyday
I think of you
We are so far apart
but you are always in my heart
...

We are so far away
but our hearts are connected.
It pains me to be apart from you,

Ashley McBean Biography

My name is Ashley McBean and I am 18 years old. I was born in Lewiston, Maine and lived there for two years after my birth with my mother and my grandmother. I was very ill when I was young and can still get very ill today. I started writing poems when I was young and have always loved it. One of my poems were published in sixth grade and it was a simple one about butterflies. When I write poems they are my feelings about what I am writing. Love, death, pain, or just plain happy and other feelings. They come from my heart. Writing doesn't have to be a career or a talent. Anyone can learn to write poems. Learn to channel your feelings into words that are strong, powerful, and meaningful. I wrote poems of my real father who I didn't even know existed until I was nine years old. I always thought the father I am living with now was my real one and I still do. Those poems will soon be published on here and you can feel how I felt. Don't keep your feelings inside, let them out. Write them down on paper, write a song, talk to someone about it. Do whatever makes you feel safer and comfortable. But never ever keep them inside. They will eat at your concious until you just burst and sometimes hurt someone who cares for you. I have learned that the hard way. Don't be afraid to show your feelings. It helps.)

One More Deep Gash

My heart has been ripped bare
I've nothing left to give
My love was neverending
But I guess you didn't care
I gave you everything I had
But you still shut me out
What you did wasn't even fair
It hurt me more than you know
The pain still won't go away
I take out the blade once more
One more deep gash to take pains place
My friends don't even know
Except for maybe one or two.
