I took care not to worry you often, Dear Dad
I heard I was a pain when I was born
My virginity was a burden, your anxieties said
I managed my adolescence well, never had I strayed
...

When my calls ended up as missed calls..
When my messages were unanswered
When my presence was no more required
I realised my love became your burden
...

There are times, when I held my feelings within
It hurts, it hurts badly and I wait for time to pass
...

Passing the days of uncertainity
Each day looses its sanity
Difficulties turn out to be challenges
Near ones consider themselves strangers
