Anne McDowell Poems

Where there is little love there can be no peace
If hearts are at war, thus begins the warring of nations afar
...

Born, Still, as Light
Still, still as a fallen bird
your beauty just as new
as the moment God created you.
...

Death has no breath
the last one lost
To powers unknown
this man I love, lying here

The Best Poem Of Anne McDowell

Street Gangs

Where there is little love there can be no peace
If hearts are at war, thus begins the warring of nations afar
Only with peace of the heart can peace start
With its absence we have the beginnings, of hate and of war
The ultimate cause of destruction among men
Evil hearts kill, their friends and their for

Bombs and fire can kill all life

Strife in the heart can kill the spirit

Why not try to love the people of this world

Some are our foe with a poisoined soul

The warring hearts who poison their souls

We need not hate, but have freedom and peace

It is hard to love, our friends and our foe.

Angels In The Aftermath HER FURY SWEPT DOWN UPON UNSUSPECTING TOWNS A POEM CANNOT SPEAK, WHAT HAPPENED THOSE DAYS i CRY FOR THE LOSSES, WORTH MORE THAN COST WHISPERS IN THE NIGHT, HER FURY BROKE LOOSE a HUSH? FROM DAWN TO DUSK-TEARS AND FEARS sUCH LOSS OF LIFE CANNOT COMPARE, TO THE SUFFERING AND LOSS: DESTRUCTION SHE STRUCK TOO HARSH- A POEM CANT'S SAY WHAT HAPPENED THAT DAY. HEROES APPEARED, ATTEMPTING TO SAVE LIVES TO FIND LOST PETS, AND FAMILIES GONE STRAY WE DON'T KNOW, WHERE NEW FLOWERS, WILL GROW.
