Anita Koshy Poems

The dawn is there; I can see it
A thin sliver of light
Resplendent, yet far
In its entire splendor
...

Fragrance takes on a pungent smell
As the smell of gore reeks all round
The fragrance of love marred by the odour of chaos
Swords clash, men come to blows
...

Games At Dawn

The dawn is there; I can see it
A thin sliver of light
Resplendent, yet far
In its entire splendor

Playing hide-and seek
Tempting me, daring me to chase after it
And fantasize about it
Titillating me with its unpredictability, tantalising in its loveliness

Now I see it, now I don't
Then, just as my aching fingers
Seem to touch its fast -fading loveliness
The light vanishes and I am left groveling

It is a cruel game, but one I wish to play
For a momentary hope of dawn is better than a lifetime in the dark
