Sweet afternoon,
the calm breeze in the parlor.
Walk with me,
so that we may share our lives.

there lives a world unseen

Andrew Bowling Biography

As poems go, I am a musician. I write much of my text with music in mind, and if something works poetically but not musically, it is changed to something that fits the chord, so to speak. Some of my writing is clunky when read as poetry, but it changes when the innovation of choral music is added. If you are interested in hearing the pieces, you can contact me at gnilwob29@yahoo.com. He Will Not Come

On the sidewalk in the city,
a girl walks alone.

She looks up to the sky.
Tears fall.

She waits for her love to come,
but he will not come.

He is gone, passed out of the world.
She remains here.

Her tears fall for her love,
the first love her heart has known.

Her tears fall in vain.
He will not come.
He is gone.

She kneels at the break in the pavement.
Her tears fall in vain.
He will not come.
He is gone.

And she is gone as well.
