Amber Hatfield Poems

Spring
Dogs barking
Birds chirping
Kids screaming and playing in the sun all day
...

I can't feel anything anymore
I can't feel
happiness
joy
...

sadness is seeing black roses
that are old and withered
it sounds like a dying cat
that won't give up
...

The flag waved at the people as they drove by.
He stands still as people honor him.
Everyone watched the flag stand proudly.
No one can make him come down from his thrown.
...

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Tulips can be red or yellow
or any other color
...

oh pencil how I love you
how would I live without you
I would fail all of my classes
I wouldn't be able to write poems
...

Life is hard,
love is strange,
nothing last,
people change,
...

fear is seeing someone get killed
and knowing you are next
it sounds like a scream for help
that keeps getting farther and farther away
...

happy is seeing someone smile
and making you smile
it sounds like a laugh
from a little kid
...

Amber Hatfield Biography

I may only be 15 but if you talk to me you will find out I am as mature as someone in there 20s. I have had a very hard life and it isn't getting easier any time soon and I believe that is why I turned to poems. I will say I am a very troubled child but I am trying my hardest to cope with life and everything it has thrown at me. I like to stand out and I live for the shock factor. Most people say I am goth but I am just my own person and if you want to label me go for it because it doesn't bother me. I have gotten used to the imature commets because of my mohawk, blue hair and countless piercings. So if you want to offend me, good luck.)

Spring

Spring
Dogs barking
Birds chirping
Kids screaming and playing in the sun all day
End of school is coming
Spring
Lawn mower motors running
Hail tapping on the roof
Wind blowing against your face
End of school is coming
Spring
Kids are happy, anxious, and excited
Nervous for their upcoming track meet
Awaiting their first softball game
End of school is coming
Spring
The pool will soon open
The chilly weather will fade into a warm breeze
Summer will soon be here
The end of school is coming
