Just Wait

Just Wait


I can't write a poem.
It's simple as that.
My home is sort of broken.
Sometimes I'm called a brat.

I don't have a lot of friends
Never have, never will,
Thats how the story ends.
But in my dreams and books,
Thats where the story changes.

My dreams can run free,
wild as can be.
I am never sad,
never mad,
and I can always rock plaid.

Books are always there for me.
I can float away, free as a bee.
I can act like I'm in the story,
Or just sit watching nearby.

I don't cry,
I don't hate.
I just wait.

Wait for my friends,
wait for my dreams.
and that's how the story should end.
That's how the cookie should crumble.
That's why I just wait.
