ALPINO DOVIS Poems
I am an animal Proud to be one as I walk on the naked earth My animal limbs and my whole body free Free from the constraints of human society
There is an island On the Chesapeake bay An island called Tangier.
Wing Of Desire
From your woman body Grew a wing my desire It appeared from your body entire From your feet to your hip
I came to offend as many as I could I’m not a modern man of a modern culture I don’t know the meaning of before or after Psychologically and physically I cannot be grasped
Should I Say Please?
I am scheduled to die by a firing squad Or to be hanged after a torture session My body will be drilled, suffocated, branded I will be raped and sodomized
This is my song A song for you and the stars A recipe full of flavor To be tasted by you and I.
Consider The Lilies
Consider the lilies On your journey through life they are so graceful and peaceful In the field by the thousands
As You Wish
As you wish I say to the clouds and the rain they might bring As you wish To the Sun shining bright on a new morning spring
I flew to you with wings on hands and feet I ran to you for thousand miles more I swam the oceans long and wide To kiss your lips once more.

I am an animal
Proud to be one as I walk on the naked earth
My animal limbs and my whole body free
Free from the constraints of human society
Free from the chains of cultural identity
Free from the guilt of the original sin
I am filled with the pleasure of being alive
I thus embrace all which is animal in me
On each breath I take I am one with animal nature
I cast aside all symbols that mankind invented to enslave
And all the absurd religions and arrogant ceremonies
I live only to see my reflection on the purity of nature
I live to run, swim, or fly with ...
