The Best Poem Of Allison Huff

Cry

I can't cry
Though I try
It's been two years
Holding in tears
And now I hide
My feelings inside
It's not a fun way
To spend your day
Feeling abundant pain
Trying to stay sane.

Loss is worse than broken hearts
It eats you up to your darkest parts
It makes me remember
Every September
My grandfather who died
Who left me broken inside
My coach who crashed
And suddenly passed
And the struggle I had
When faced with the bad
And horrible
And awful
Truth
They would never come back.

I was alone
A heart of stone
Took my heart's place
So I could feel safe
But now I know
The stone must go
I must move on
Search for a new dawn
Where I can feel again
And never pretend
To cry.

Allison your poem Cry hit me in the deepest part's of my heart. I too know what pain and suffering is. I wrote a free verse poem on the suffering that I have endured. It is called My Chronicle Of Depression. I would much appreciate if you would read this poem. I also would love to ask your permission to friend you on this website?
