One of the best member poets on Poem Hunter (as far as I have read) , Allan Gerard could be a voice to watch out for in future. He has all the basic tools and arsenals to make his poems dart deep into the reader's heart. His poetry evokes mystery, suspense and wonder and he deftly takes you into hitherto undiscovered terrains in your subconscious. His versatility is happily matched by his success in finding his own unique voice. If this voice can be further chiselled by aligning it to the present day zeit geist (historical sense is very important for a poet!) and through dialogue / collaboration with other leading voices of the present epoch, then Allan Gerard (Ed-Nigma as he calls himself) can evolve into a formidable voice. Wish him all his enigmatic best! !

this guy is super cool n stuff
i want to shake his left hand and tell his right hand
to wait it out. then shake his right hand after it's tired and doesn't want me anymore.
also, his writing is heart clenching. makes you make a fist, but in a good way.
a good fist. a good man. here here!

    (sorry, i just can't be normal. :))

If there was anyone I would call deep it would be him. Not to mention his apt usage of the double entendre(which is my favorite!) Every single poem is a hit, and extremely thought provoking. Keep poetry alive? That he does~

I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone that takes the time to read and comment my poems. I appreciate it very much. Sincerely, Allan Gerard

I'll take the highroad cause the valley here is full of pain
I like the mountain view looking from the top I can proclaim
The savages that chased me I left them with a smile
They mocked my steps the journey I turned my back on their denial

What's a curse if you never learn to embrace your fate
To taste the pain and choke on shame
To embrace the ways to relate
