Abinaya Saravanan Poems

We are the teens who have
just begun to discover this world
The exams the monsters come to threaten us
on the pretext of making us bold
...

Cloudy skies
Dripping trees
Rain wet roads
and august breeze
...

Listen to music
To change your mood
A fast beat
May make you shrewd
...

Deserted play grounds
with faded foot prints.
Stilled merry go rounds
with rust on its strings.
...

Oh world
Have not your eyes closed
Ealam tamils are strucked
amid the dogs of violence
...

The men in the millennium have developed a vain of brutality
Replete with massacres wars and battles the history explains its futility
terrorism in the name of freedom struggle
wars in the name of international security
...

Pristine love that never fades.
lucky, throughout life if its shadow shades.
Say mom your heart will pound with joy,
So she is God's envoy.
...

Too many mysteries remain unfolded
behind the canopy of black,
Holding hel-luva lot of secrets
The starry night sky shines blank.
...

Bony dark shrunken skinned man
bent double may be with age,
wanders with a stick in hand
to earn his poor daily wage.
...

Unknown to me, my last day
is a core of folded rose.
If i know it clear
that my end that day was sure
...

The lights on, the church bells rung
The namaz over and evening prayers sung.
The day was over, the market bustled for a while
The kites and baloons took the kids for an exile.
...

All the books you see,
they live, breathe and think.
If you don't really agree,
read this further to link.
...

Not an arduous task for a solitary thread to be broken,
But resistant to damage stands a cloth woven.
Feathers flock together supporting a bird fly,
cultures clinging together enable the world glorify.

The Monstrous Exams

We are the teens who have
just begun to discover this world
The exams the monsters come to threaten us
on the pretext of making us bold
Even the parents become our foes
pushing us to fight these monsters alone
Thick bound books stare at us ruthlessly
and fear pierce our every bone
With the text reluctant to become our friend
we struggle with our brain to grasp it
Brain too becomes helpless and
heartless people say work hard a bit
Time becomes a challenger
and negative thoughts become a invader
Life becomes a borer
and stress comes as a killer
when exams are near.
